The following screen shots were taken from a diagnostic session with
AutoTech. The vehicle in this example is a '99 Ford Taurus. The supposed problem it's having is "The vehicle
pulls to one side when I step on the brakes". By the way, a Ford Taurus is just one of over 600 vehicles covered by AutoTech and the problem we chose is just one of many problems available to diagnose. OK, let's begin... We would start by highlighting the problem "The vehicle pulls to one side when I step on the brakes". Then we would click on the "Begin" button... ![]() AutoTech would repsond by displaying the following two comments in succession... ![]() ![]() Next, AutoTech would ask the user to do the following... ![]() Then, AutoTech would display the following question... ![]() Let's say the answer to the above question is "No" (thus the "No" button is clicked). AutoTech would then display the following comment... ![]() Next, AutoTech would ask the user to do the following... ![]() Then, AutoTech would display the following question... ![]() Let's say the answer to the above question is "Yes" (thus the "Yes" button is clicked). AutoTech would then display the following comment... ![]() Next, AutoTech would display the following diagnosis... ![]() Clicking on the above "Explain" button would display the following... ![]() And, clicking on the "Remedy" button would display the following (note that you can't scroll the text since this is just a screen shot of the actual window)... ![]() That would end this diagnostic session. NOTE: If the above questions were answered differently, the session would have taken a different path (leading to a different diagnosis). |
